Hill Pet of the Week: Spike

Hill Now’s inaugural Pet of the Week is Spike Spud Schlimm. Here’s what his owner, Lynne, said about the pooch photographed with his head sticking out of a car window.

Spike came to us from the Washington Humane Society 12 years ago this month. When we got him, he was three months old. Now, he’s an old man with a serious heart condition. But he’s still our Spike — the only dog we know that can simultaneously do a full-body wag, mooch for treats and tug at your heart strings.
