Group of Men Rob Woman at Gunpoint Near Eliot-Hine Middle School

A woman was walking home from work on D Street NE yesterday evening (Tuesday) when she was approached by five or six men and robbed at gunpoint, police said.

The victim encountered the men on the 1800 block of D Street NE, about a block north of Eliot Hine Middle School, according to police.

The robbery occurred about 6:30 p.m. Metropolitan police rushed to the scene and arrested one man, as Popville was first to publicize.

Whether the victim was injured was not immediately known. Suspect information was not immediately available.
