Road Closures and Metro Service Changes This Weekend

A section of M Street SE will be closed tomorrow (Saturday) because of District Department of Transportation work.

M Street will be blocked between 8th Street and 11th Street SE tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., DDOT announced. Crews will complete surface paving and striping on the road. Detours will be posted, DDOT said.

Red Line Metro service will be delayed by five minutes or less after 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, WMATA said.

Regular service is expected at all other stations in Ward 6, with 85 of the system’s 91 stations scheduled for regular weekend service.
