Shoplifter at Waterfront CVS Caught on Video

A man who appears to have stolen cosmetics from the 4th Street SW CVS store is wanted by police.

Surveillance video distributed by the Metropolitan Police Department this morning (Friday) shows a man milling the aisles of the CVS at 1100 4th St. SW, near the Waterfront Metro station. He took items off shelves in the cosmetics section and tucked them into a black backpack.

A store worker chased after the man as he walked out of the store, the video shows.

The person of interest hit the CVS about 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Anyone who can identify this individual or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at 202-727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s text tip line at 50411.
