Big Dogs on Discount at Humane Society This Weekend

If you’re thinking of getting a dog, now might be the time.

The Washington Humane Society is offering a big discount this weekend on the fee for adopting big dogs.

All dogs that weigh 30 pounds or more can be adopted at the 1201 New York Ave. NE location for just $30. The adoption fee for dogs is usually $170, according to the rescue group’s website.

The shelter will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The deal will also apply to adoptions made at the 7319 Georgia Ave. NW location, and to people who opt to foster a dog.
