D.C. Plows to Roll Out Wednesday Morning for Expected Snow
With 1 to 3 inches of snow expected in the District, snow plows will hit the streets tomorrow.
The “District Snow Team” will deploy Wednesday at 6 a.m., Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office announced this afternoon. D.C. residents are asked to scatter salt, de-icer or non-clumping kitty litter on sidewalks today, in advance of the storm.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for the District from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow. The National Weather Service predicts snow in the late morning through early afternoon, and temperatures in the low to mid-30s. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to beware of slick roads and sidewalks.
The Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang predicted that tomorrow’s storm will cause less turmoil than the Jan. 6 storm, and that D.C. schools will most likely be open.
