Florida Avenue Homicide Suspects Still Sought by Police 1 Year Later
A year to the day after a man was gunned down on Florida Avenue NE, police are still searching for suspects.
The Metropolitan Police Department redistributed video today of men wanted in connection with the shooting death of Daniel Calvin Short.
Short, 36, was shot about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 23, 2014 on the 400 Florida Ave. NE, police said. The Southeast resident was found at 5th and K streets NE, blocks from where he was shot, police said.

A street memorial to Short, who was a father, was created on the 4100 block of 1st Street SE, according to a blog that tracked “Washington’s other monuments.”
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
