Congressman Blamed for Capitol Sledding Ban — A “Congressional grump” is to blame for enforcing the ban on sledding at the Capitol Building, a source tells Roll Call. Aides to House Appropriations Chairman Harold Rogers and Senate Appropriations Chairman Thad Cochran denied any involvement by their bosses. [Roll Call]

Overturned SUV Kills Pedestrian Near Chinatown — A man died after an SUV lost control and flipped onto the sidewalk at 4th and H streets NW about 5 p.m. yesterday.
