New Arts Wing of Hill Middle School Open to the Public Today

Stuart-Hobson Middle School has new arts facilities, and the community can tour them starting this afternoon.

The 410 E St. NE will hold an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. School officials and the parent-teacher association will show off three stories of space dedicated to visual arts, pottery, theater and music, according to information distributed by the school.

“The new addition is clean, bright, inviting and useful — and students are already putting the space to use,” PTA president Vince Morris said in a statement.

The festivities at the open house today will include light refreshments, music by the school band and the performance of a scene from “Fame.”
