Man Jumps Onto Metro Tracks at Stadium-Armory Station, Causing Delays
(Updated at 2:10 p.m.) A man jumped onto Metro tracks in the Stadium-Armory station early this afternoon, causing minor delays on the Blue, Orange and Silver lines.
The man was spotted on the New Carrollton-bound Orange Line tracks before 12:45 p.m., Metro said. Service on all three lines was delayed as Metro cut electricity and police searched for the man.
The man apparently climbed back onto the platform, exited the station and disappeared before Metro Transit Police could catch up with him, a Metro spokeswoman said in an update.
Train service was restored with minor delays by 12:55 p.m. Normal service had resumed by 1:10 p.m.
