H Street streetcar

Streetcar Funding — Mayor Muriel Bowser’s budget proposal calls for keeping $335 million in the streetcar program over six years, to finish the H Street line and extend it to Georgetown and to the Benning Road Metro station in Ward 7. The latest estimate for the size of the system is 7.5 miles. [WAMU]

Development Planned at 501 H St. NE — The six-story mixed-use development planned at 501 H St. NE was supported this week by the planning committee of ANC 6C. The latest designs call for 28 residential units and 17,500 square feet of retail. [Urban Turf]
