The group Barracks Row Main Street is offering free Taste of 8th tickets to people who volunteer for the event Saturday, May 2. Interested volunteers should email the group.

The organization has yet to announce which restaurants will participate in this year’s event, but participants are expected to include District Doughnuts, The Ugly Mug and Matchbox. But previous participants have included Cava, Spring Mill Bread and Ted’s Bulletin.

Cava has handed out grilled lamb chops, while Spring Mill Bread has offered brownies and Ted’s Bulletin has served up milkshakes.

For people who can’t volunteer, a ticket for a single taste costs $5. But festivalgoers can get five tickets for $20 or 10 tickets for $30 online.

Taste of 8th is set to run from 1 to 4 p.m.
