Bluejacket in Navy Yard (300 Tingey St. SE) and Granville Moore’s on the H Street corridor (1238 H St. NE) will host happy hours, tastings and meet-and-greets with brewers the week of May 4. Both bars are finalists for the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s Beer Program of the Year prize.

Bluejacket will offer two happy hour tasting tours with “rare and delicious beers from the vault” and present a beer that hasn’t been released. They’ll also host a food and beer pairing night.

Granville Moore’s will serve a four-course beer dinner and host an event with female brewers from DC Brau, Port City and Denizens Brewing Company. They will also serve some “unearthed cellar finds.”

More information can be found on Bluejacket’s and Granville Moore’s Facebook pages.

The bars are competing for the Beer Program of the Year prize with Brasserie Beck downtown, Pizzeria Paradiso of Georgetown and Mad Fox Brewing Company of Falls Church. The winner will be announced June 7.
