Lead Singer of Tool, DCanter Team Up on Wine-Pairing Dinner
The head of the metal band Tool moonlights as a winemaker and will co-host a dinner in the District soon.
Musician Maynard James Keenan will participate in a wine dinner Wednesday night with the Barracks Row wine shop DCanter and the N Street NW restaurant Rogue 24.
“If you’re a foodie looking for a new gastronomic experience, then we suggest our upcoming wine dinner at Rogue 24 … featuring the wines of Caduceus Cellars,” an announcement from DCanter said, referring to Kennan’s company.
A seven-course meal is in the works and may include a Wagyu short rib and bone marrow taco, paired with the company’s Anubis Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc/Petite Sirah, made in New Mexico.
Tickets cost $180 each, before tax and tip, and are available by calling Rogue 24, which is located at 922 N St. NW.
The bad news for Tool fans? Keenan will not sign autographs at the event, according to the announcement by DCanter.
