The Barracks Row restaurant from Rose’s Luxury chef Aaron Silverman is one step closer to opening.

The fine-dining eatery at 715 8th St. SE has applied for a liquor license. It still is unclear when the restaurant will open, however. High-end home goods shop Homebody, which currently occupies the building, is expected to leave at some point this summer.

The restaurant, which is next door to Rose’s Luxury, is seeking to seat 65 people inside and 14 people outside in a sidewalk cafe, according to the liquor license notice. The eatery will have “light breakfast, lunch and coffee during the day and [a] full-service fine dining dinner restaurant in the evening,” the notice says. A company called Elaine’s One LLC applied for the license.

Silverman’s new venture will operate as a “fancy” but not “formal” restaurant by night, and a coffee shop by day, The Washington Post reported. Unlike Rose’s Luxury, the still-unnamed restaurant will take reservations.

The eatery is planning to be open from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day, except on weekends, when it will close at 3 a.m.
