Suspected Thief Caught on Video Near H Street Corridor

A suspected robber was captured on video at a Shell gas station near the H Street corridor.

A thief robbed someone at the gas station on the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue NE about 10:30 a.m. Friday, police said.

The person of interest wanted in connection with the robbery entered the gas station, smoking a cigarette, a video distributed yesterday by police shows. At one point in the video, he appeared to grab something from a customer.

The man then argued with an employee and pointed at the customer, who stood nearby.

The person of interest wore a silver winter jacket and blue jeans.
