Man Shot on North Capitol Street

A man was shot last night a block and a half west of the NoMa-Gallaudet University Metro station.

The shooting occurred on the 1200 block of North Capitol Street NW about 10 p.m., police said. The victim was conscious after the attack, according to authorities.

Police didn’t have any information about the shooter.

Last May, another man was shot on the 1200 block of North Capitol Street NW, which is the same block as the Tyler House apartment building. He died in a hospital.

In 2013, 13 people were hit in a drive-by shooting outside Tyler House, The Washington Post reported.
