Police Car Crashes on 6th Street NE

A driver in a Metropolitan Police Department squad car crashed with another car near J.O. Wilson Elementary School this afternoon.

The collision occurred on the 1000 block of 6th Street NE, police said. One woman was transported to a hospital with minor injuries, according to D.C. Fire and E.M.S., which was dispatched to the scene about 12:15 p.m.

Information on the cause of the crash wasn’t immediately available. A gold SUV was being towed afterward.
