‘Truck Touch’ to Bring 30 Vehicles to RFK Stadium
Trucks of all types and sizes will be parked at RFK Stadium’s Lot 7 on Saturday, June 6, as part of the D.C. Department of Public Works (DPW) annual Truck Touch event.
Attendees will be able get behind the wheel and even honk the horn inside 30 different vehicles used by the city to clean and repair streets, change traffic lights, collect trash, clear snow and provide emergency services. DPW employees will be on hand to answer questions and talk at length about the agency’s role in the community.
This is the DPW’s 8th consecutive Truck Touch. Last year’s event attracted more than 3,000 people and featured mounted police horses, rideable Segways and a police helicopter.
