Hill Pet of the Week: Jazz

Jazz is the Hill Pet of the Week. He’s an affectionate 5-year-old short-haired mix. Here’s the bio shared by the Washington Humane Society shelter on New York Avenue NE:

When Jazz first left the shelter he hissed and swatted, unsure of what was going on and reacting out of fear. Today, he stops himself if he raises a paw and he looks up into my eyes for reassurance, if he’s scared instead of hissing. He wants love! He can be content in his own space, but he loves to sprawl on our laps and inch his way up our chests to nuzzle our necks. He is also quite an athlete — jumping high in the air and twisting all around to catch the feather on his wand toy. This is a very interesting and affectionate cat; don’t miss a chance to get to know him and show him how great life can be!
