Man Arrested in 2014 Hill East Shooting

(Updated Sept. 23) Police yesterday arrested a man in connection with a shooting in Hill East last year.

James Joseph, 31, was arrested for assault with intent to kill, according to authorities. Police apprehended him about 11:30 a.m. on the 900 block of 13th Street SE, near the Potomac Gardens public housing complex in Hill East.

Information on his lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

The shooting happened Nov. 25 on the 1000 block of 12th Street SE, police said. The victim told police he answered a knock at the door and a man shot him multiple times.

The victim was hospitalized for injuries he received in the attack, police said.
