Report: H Street NE / NoMa Among D.C.’s Costliest Rental Areas
(Updated at 12:10 p.m. Saturday) D.C. tenants had the fifth most expensive rental market last month, with the H Street NE / NoMa area among the top 10 most expensive parts of the District to rent.
The H Street NE / NoMa area had a median rent of $2,100 per month for a one-bedroom apartment in May, making it the ninth costliest area for rentals in D.C., according to a new report from rental website Zumper. The city-wide median was also $2,100.
The median one-bedroom rent for the neighborhood categorized as “Southwest Ballpark / Navy Yard” was only $50 less, at $2,050. In between the H Street NE / NoMa and Southwest Ballpark / Navy Yard areas, Capitol Hill had a median one-bedroom rent of $1,750.
At $2,600, Georgetown had the highest median rent for one-bedroom apartments in D.C., the report by the San Francisco-based startup says. Anacostia had the lowest rent, at $995.
