  • Rise Up!

No. No, no, NO to Eminent Domain in this situation. A Government should NOT be able to confiscate someone else’s land for one thing: money. Money for DC United, money for the developer who will build the stadium, and money for supposed increased tax revenue. While a property owner, whether it’s a family or a business, is forced to pick up and move.
Otherwise, why not tear down all of the mansions in Northwest and put in 350 unit mixed-use properties?
    This is just WRONG.

  • RightOffTheBat

Agreed! This city is so corrupt and has no business taking from homeowners to help DC United make money. Note, almost all of the DC United employees with the exception of the concession people and janitors, live in the ‘burbs. DC United does not provide jobs for DC residents! Get out!

Charles Allen is way over his head. Stick to community organizing.
