Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for D.C.

Storms that could bring gusty winds and hail are headed toward the Capitol Hill area.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the District until 11 p.m.

Thunderstorms will start to form over the D.C metropolitan area between 5 and 5:30 p.m., according to a D.C. government alert.
