Burglar Strikes at H Street NE Bar

(Updated at 5:50 p.m.) A burglar hit a bar on the H Street corridor yesterday.

The burglary happened about 8:15 a.m. on the 400 block of H Street NE, police said.

Authorities didn’t release the name of the bar. But the block includes Boundary Road, Driftwood Kitchen, Ethiopic Restaurant and The Big Board, which all have bars.

Representatives of Boundary Road and Driftwood Kitchen said their eateries weren’t burglarized.

A manager of The Big Board declined to comment, and a representative of Ethiopic Restaurant wasn’t immediately available to comment.

The thief took money and cellphones in the burglary, police said. Authorities didn’t have any suspect information.
