Charles Allen (Photo via Facebook.com/CharlesAllenDC)(Updated at 3:10 p.m.) Hill East residents can share concerns with their local representative over breakfast pastries, bagels and coffee this week.

Councilman Charles Allen of Ward 6 and his constituent services staff will have their monthly community office hours tomorrow from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Curbside Cafe (257 15th St. SE).

“Community Office Hours are an important way for residents to connect with me and my staff in a low-key, informal setting,” Allen said in a statement. “I always enjoy meeting neighbors and talking with constituents at evening and weekend events around the ward, but I think these morning gatherings provide a valuable opportunity for me to hear directly from residents about the issues, complaints, and concerns that matter to them.”

The meetings rotate between Curbside Cafe, Compass Coffee in Shaw and either Jenny’s at The Wharf or the Starbucks in Southwest. They also host quarterly evening office hours near H Street NE.

Locals can RSVP online. But residents don’t need to RSVP to attend.
