Hill Pet of the Week: Blitzen

Blitzen is the Hill Pet of the Week. She’s a 4-year-old greyhound, who used to be a world-class racer. Here’s her bio shared by her owner, Jessica Labella:

I’m Blitzen. I used to be a world-class racing greyhound from Alabama, but transitioned into retirement last Christmas. Now my days are filled with 16 hours of naps on the couches, beds, dog pillows and carpet — basically anywhere there’s a soft spot to lay.

The remaining eight hours of the day are spent eating, trying to convince my owners to give me more food, squeaking every toy in the house and going squirrel hunting on walks around town. In the winter, I get cold, so I’ve grown accustomed to wearing fashion sweaters to show off for all to admire.

Feel free to say hello if you see me around town . . . unless you’re a small dog or cat who yelps, in which case you can feel free to cross the street.
