Persons of Interest in Violent Hill East Robbery Appear on Video
Two young men wanted for a violent robbery in Hill East have been caught on video.
A robbery involving force and violence happened at 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue SE about about 12:30 a.m. on July 1, according to authorities. Police said they’re looking for two individuals who snatched a cellphone and a wallet from someone near a bus stop in the area.
A video police distributed today in connection with the theft shows a young man with a white tank top grabbing onto a bag a woman had as she walked on a sidewalk. The pair then struggled over the bag in the middle of a street before the man fled.
After the scuffle, the man and another young man with a white tank top jumped into a car with its emergency flashers blinking and drove away.
