Masked Men Wanted for Armed Robbery Near Union Market Caught on Video

A group of masked men suspected of robbing a tire shop near Union Market at gunpoint yesterday morning have appeared on video.

A robbery happened at a business on the 400 block of Florida Avenue NE about 3 a.m. Monday, police said. Authorities didn’t identify the business. But video police released in connection with the robbery shows four masked men entering Mac’s Tire Service at 423 Florida Ave. NE.

Once inside the shop, one of the men flashed a gun at a worker washing a car. The employee fled as the men continued further into the building.

Two of the men then grabbed a woman and brought her into an office. The men poked around the room before they ran away from the shop.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent offense, including armed robbery, committed in the District of Columbia.
