The Washington Humane Society’s inaugural “Putt for Pups” miniature golf tournament will take place at the H Street Country Club on Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. The contest at 1335 H St. NE is open to people who are at least 21 years old.

Entry costs $30 and includes a drink ticket, chicken and vegetable tostadas and drinks specials throughout the night, according to H Street Country Club general manager Ricardo Vergara. Drink specials include $3 Bud Lights and Pabst Blue Ribbons, as well as $5 margaritas.

Tickets can be bought online until midnight Wednesday or at the door on the day of the event for an additional $5 donation. More than 100 tickets already have been sold, said Rachel Thaler, special events and development coordinator for the Washington Humane Society.
