Buzz Bakery in Navy Yard to Close

Buzz Bakery is leaving Navy Yard tomorrow to make more room for Bluejacket, the coffee and dessert shop announced today.

The shop at 300 Tingey St. SE in the coming weeks will become a tasting room and bottle shop for the brewery, which adjoins Buzz Bakery. Both Bluejacket and Buzz Bakery are owned by the Neighborhood Restaurant Group.

“As our neighborhood has grown and developed, we have always tried to meet the desires of our community, and have found that our guests would benefit from more programming and offerings from our adjoining brewery and restaurant, Bluejacket and The Arsenal,” Buzz Bakery said in an announcement.

After the closure of the Buzz Bakery in Navy Yard, Neighborhood Restaurant Group only will have outposts of the shop in Ballston and Alexandria.
