Police Arrest Man Suspected of Deadly Attack Near NoMa

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man wanted for a fatal attack on New York Avenue NW last week.

Kenneth Garner of Southeast D.C. was apprehended yesterday and charged with first degree felony murder in connection with the July 5 assault on the unit block of New York Avenue NW.

Information on his lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

The victim, Thomas Harris, a 52-year-old Alexandria resident, died on July 6 from injuries he received in the attack.
