Southern Eatery Likely to Open Next Month in Navy Yard

A Southern restaurant is expected to start serving customers at The Yards in Navy Yard in the coming weeks, a spokesman for the area’s developer said yesterday.

Due South likely will open at some point next month in the Lumber Shed building at 301 Water St. SE, said Gary McManus, a spokesman for The Yards developer Forest City Washington.

The 199-seat eatery from Bo Blair, owner of Smith Point in Georgetown, will join Agua 301, Osteria Morini and Ice Cream Jubilee at the Lumber Shed.
