Hill East Safety Walk

Eastern High School (1700 East Capitol St. NE)

Time: 5:30-7 p.m.

Join ANC 6B commissioners and representatives of the Metropolitan Police Department for a neighborhood walk intended to help residents feel safer after recent violent crime.

Wednesday

‘Footloose’ on NoMa Summer Screen

Storey Park (1st and L streets NE)

Time: 7-10 p.m.

Watch “Footloose” al fresco as part of NoMa Summer Screen. Coolers, dogs on leashes and kids are welcome for the free screening.

Thursday

Canal Park Outdoor Movie: ‘The Goonies’

Canal Park (200 M St. SE)

Time: 7-10 p.m.

Have a picnic and see “The Goonies” for free as part of the Canal Park Outdoor Movie Series.

Friday

‘Summer Sounds and Sizzlin’ BBQ’: Caiso Steel Band

Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Listen to the steel drums of Caiso Steel Band along the Southwest waterfront promenade.
