A man wanted in a H Street corridor theft was caught on video strolling out of a video game store with a box as a worker at the shop ran after him.

The theft happened at a store on 800 block of H Street NE about 4:30 p.m. on July 17, police said. Authorities didn’t identify the business. But a video police released today in connection with the theft shows a man with a baseball cap and dreadlocks in the H Street Connection GameStop at 817 H St. NE.

The man is seen walking around the store, stretching his arms and interacting with employees of the shop. At one point, he disappeared from view and reemerged with a box.

He then walked out the front door of the shop as a store worker pursued him.
