Ben’s Chili Bowl on H Street NE to Give Children Free Milkshakes This Weekend

Local children can pick up a free sweet treat on the H Street corridor in honor of Ben’s Chili Bowl’s 57th anniversary this weekend.

The eatery located at 1001 H St. NE and famous for its half smokes will give away mini milkshakes to children who are 12 years old or younger tomorrow, starting at 11 a.m. Full-sized milkshakes usually cost $3.55.

When reached by phone earlier today, spokeswoman Vida Ali was helping a customer in the restaurant and couldn’t immediately comment.
