Report: &Pizza Likely to Open on Barracks Row Within Weeks

A new pizza shop likely will arrive on Barracks Row next month, a neighborhood group said yesterday.

The local chain &pizza probably will open its forthcoming restaurant at 405 8th St. SE in late September, Barracks Row Main Street said in a newsletter, citing “inside sources.” In June, the fast-casual eatery tweeted that it hoped to open its Barracks Row location this summer.

An &pizza spokeswoman couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Signage for the future &pizza location has been up since at least March.

The chain has more than a dozen locations in the D.C. area, including the H Street corridor.
