Eleven Men Arrested for Solicitation of Prostitution During Weekend Undercover Operation
D.C. Police arrested 11 men for solicitation of prostitution during an undercover operation near the intersection of K Street and North Capitol Street over the weekend.
Police made three arrests on the Northwest side of North Capitol Street between 4 and 5 a.m. Friday morning. On Saturday, Sept. 5, police made an additional eight arrests on the unit block of K Street NE, just across North Capitol Street from the previous arrests. The arrests on Saturday occurred between 4 and 6 a.m., according to arrest reports.
Police Commander Jeff Brown confirmed that the arrests were part of an undercover operation. D.C. Police have targeted prostitution this summer with multiple undercover operations yielding double-digit arrests. Most of the previous arrests have been in parts of Shaw, Logan Circle and Dupont.
