Mayor Bowser to Hold Capitol Hill Fitness Walk Saturday Morning

Capitol Hill residents will be able to get in their morning workout with Mayor Muriel Bowser on Saturday at the FitDC Ward 6 Walk.

Starting at 9 a.m., Mayor Bowser and members of her administration’s FitDC health and wellness campaign will lead a walk through the neighborhood and several demonstrations on healthy eating and staying in shape.

The event begins at the Rosedale Community Center at 1701 Gales St. NE and runs from 9 to 11 a.m. Those interested in attending should register online before the event.

FitDC is an initiative launched earlier this year to make health and wellness resources more accessible throughout the city. Mayor Bowser will be holding similar walks in every ward.
