Two men sought in a theft in August at a 7-11 near the Eastern Market Metro station have appeared on video.

The theft occurred on the 400 block of 8th Street SE about 5:30 a.m. Aug. 15, police said. Police did not identify the store. But surveillance footage released today by police shows the two men inside the 7-11 at the corner of 8th and E streets SE.

The two men entered the store separately, but can be seen talking inside. One man reached over the counter to grab a box full of cigarette cartons, which he then dumped onto the floor of the store. Both men grabbed several cartons of cigarettes and ran out.
