Armed Robbery Near H Street Corridor Caught on Video

Two people sought in an armed robbery in August on the 900 block of 3rd St. NE have appeared on video.

The video, released by police yesterday, shows one person pointing a gun at a pedestrian as another person searches through his pockets and takes his backpack. The armed robbery occurred Aug. 15 about 2 a.m., police said. The armed person can be seen loitering along the sidewalk at an alley or driveway. As the victim approaches, the person points the gun at the victim and appears to order him to lay on the ground.

The black-and-white video is grainy, but both thieves appear to be men. The video also captured the robbers’ getaway car. The car appears to be a four-door sedan.
