The Family Fest will be held on Sunday at Garfield Park (699 2nd St. SE) from 2-5 p.m. and will include plenty of performances and activities for kids, and some raffle prizes for their parents.

The event will have moon bounces and face painting in addition to live performances by Capitol Hill musician Mr. Skip, who writes and performs songs for young children, and a magic show by Turley the Magician.

Parents will have a chance to enter raffles and win prizes and gift cards donated from various local businesses. All proceeds from the raffle will go to support the Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, which provides weekly activities and healthy snacks to children at D.C. General and other District homeless shelters.

The festival will also host a drop-off location for the Capitol Hill Diaper Drive, which is going on this weekend.
