Bowser is slated to have community office hours at the Rosedale Recreation Center at 3 p.m, according to her office. The center is at 1701 Gales St. NE.

While in Rosedale, she also is expected to go on a walking tour of the neighborhood and hold a news conference on job training opportunities.

Her visit to Rosedale will come about a month after Councilman Charles Allen of Ward 6 and Commander William Fitzgerald of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District met with locals in the neighborhood to discuss public safety in and around the area.

This summer, the Rosedale area had two shootings in June and one in July.

  • Dear Madam Mayor, Noticed you have spent quite a bit of time in the Rosedale area lately. This is not the only area of the city that needs attention. I was there over the weekend seeing you at the pop warner game before your morning stroll throughout the neighborhood. Spread yourself thin and visit other neighborhoods as well, where constituents pockets aren’t as deep.Your intentions are good and your heart is really into being a good Mayor, but don’t get sidetracked like your predecessors.
