Locals can take walking tours of Capitol Hill-area neighborhoods.
Friday
Waterfront Metro Station (4th and M streets SW)
Time: 4-9 p.m.
Dozens of vendors will gather for Southwest’s monthly, Asian-inspired market. There will be crafts, antiques, live music and food trucks.
Shakespeare, Not Stirred Book Talk and Signing
Folger Shakespeare Library (201 East Capitol St. NE)
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Authors Caroline Bicks and Michelle Ephraim will kick off the 2015-2016 season of free Folger Friday talks. They’ll discuss and sign copies of their new book, “Shakespeare, Not Stirred: Cocktails for Your Everyday Dramas.”
Saturday
Sherwood Recreation Center (640 10th St. NE)
Time: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Sherwood Neighborhood Volunteers are hosting the 2nd annual Sherwood Day. The event is a celebration of the neighborhood made for the whole family with food and activities.
Community Health Fair and Farmer’s Market
Mt. Moriah Baptist Church (1636 East Capitol St. SE)
Time: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
The fair and market will have several free events, including health screenings, face painting, a moon bounce, pet grooming, an Xtreme video game truck, secure document shredding, line dancing, yoga and more.
