Crime Roundup: Boys Beat, Rob Kid in Capitol Hill Area

Police car light(Updated at 11:25 a.m.) A group of boys attacked and robbed another boy in Hill East last night, police said.

The violent robbery happened about 6:45 p.m. on either the 700 block of 14th Street SE.

The victim was walking when a boy grabbed him and asked to have his phone, according to authorities. The victim tried to flee, but the suspect held him back and punched the victim in the face.

Three or four other boys then joined the suspect and started hitting the victim before taking some of his belongings.

The victim had a bruise on his face and a small cut on his hand, but declined medical treatment.

Boys also assaulted and robbed a man in the NoMa area last night, police said.

The violent robbery occurred on L Street near North Capitol Street about 9 p.m.

The victim was walking in the area when three teenage boys attacked him and swiped his computer, according to authorities.

Police made one arrest last night in connection with the robbery.
