Suspect Arrested in Hill East Sexual Assault, Burglary
(Updated at 9:05 a.m.) Police have apprehended a man suspected of going in a Hill East home through an unlocked door and sexually assaulting a woman earlier this week.
The arrest occurred outside of the District yesterday, according to authorities. First degree sexual abuse and burglary charges are pending against the suspect. But police have yet to release his name.
The attack happened on the 1800 block of A Street SE between 2 and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, police said. The area is about a block from the Stadium-Armory Metro station.
A man posing as a maintenance worker committed the assault, NBC Washington reported.
