Crime Roundup: Arrest Made in Shooting in Southwest

Police have arrested one person in connection with a shooting that occurred yesterday near Lansburgh Park in Southwest.

Wednesday about 4:45 p.m., a man was shot in the back on the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue SW. The man’s injuries were not life threatening.

Just after midnight last night, police announced that they arrested one suspect they believe was involved in the shooting but the case is still under investigation.

There was also an armed robbery on Capitol Hill overnight. Police tweeted about a robbery at 3 a.m. on the 500 block of Tennessee Avenue SE.

However, Tennessee Avenue does not continue into Southeast. The crime may have occurred on the 500 block of Tennessee Avenue NE, but police were unable to confirm details of the report immediately.
