Where to Get ‘Cocktail Week’ Specials in the Capitol Hill Area

Cocktail WeekFor those looking to branch out from their usual drink order, several Capitol Hill Area restaurants are offering some of their most creative cocktails this week as part of the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington’s “DC Cocktail Week.”

Four Capitol Hill area restaurants will be offering cocktail and food pairings for less than $20 this week, including a “Mike & Ike’s Hot Cider” from Beauchert’s Saloon and a Vanilla Pear Gimlet with foie gras from Belga Cafe.

We offer a special Vanilla Pear Gimlet cocktail with a great foie gras terrine. The luxurious, buttery taste of duck liver and a brioche waffle calls for a pairing cocktail of Grey Goose Pear Vodka spiced with a shrub made from pears in red wine and a touch of vanilla.All at $13.00. The special is available during the dinner service, Friday and Saturday only at the bar.

Buechert’s is serving our Mike & Ike’s Hot Cider – Chairmans Spiced Rum, Hot Apple Cider with a Maple Foam paired with Johnny & the Wo!Nuts – Apple Compote, Cider Caramel, Vanilla Anglaise, Salted Pecans, Donut Ice Cream. $17 for the pair per person

Bistro Cacao’s signature Chocolate Mousse with an Orange Sauce pairs seamlessly with the Bittersweet Goodnight, a cocktail made with Absolut Vanilla, Grand Marnier, Champagne and Orange Bitters, served in a chocolate-rimmed flute. $18.00 for the pairing per person

Seared foie gras, pumpkin spice bread, apple jam, maple reduction. Our cocktail is a Plum buttered rum made with plum falurnum, butternut squash/pumpkin rye whiskey and spiced butter. Topped with grated nutmeg and fresh pumpkin peel. $15.00 for the pairing per person
