Weekend Crime: Person Stabbed After Argument Inside H Street NE Sports Bar
A person was stabbed on H Street NE after an argument at a sports bar.
Two people started arguing at Half Time Sports Bar at 1427 H Street NE around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, according to police.
After the two people were kicked out of the bar, one person was stabbed by a person who police believe is a friend of the other person who was escorted from the bar.
There was also a stabbing over the weekend near the intersection of M Street SE and South Capitol Street. According to police, a panhandler cut another panhandler in the nose during an argument at 7:50 p.m. Saturday night.
Two police officers and at least three other people were hospitalized early Saturday morning after a collision between a police cruiser, a taxi and an SUV at the intersection of H and 8th streets NE. The crash sent the police car into a store window and the taxi hit a light pole, WUSA 9 reported.
Police are looking into whether the collision began with a police chase and the driver of the taxi was arrested, WJLA reported.
Early in the weekend, police announced that they arrested two boys in connection with a robbery with force and violence that occurred on the 500 block of 4th Street SE on Friday, Nov. 13 about 9:20 p.m.
