We, The Pizza on Capitol Hill reopened this afternoon after being closed by the District Department of Health on Monday.

The eatery at 305 Pennsylvania Ave. SE was closed by the Health Department for failing to minimize the presence of insects, rodents and other pests on the premises, according to an online notice from the Health Department. Officials from the Health Department did not respond to requests for more specific information about the cause of the closure.

We, The Pizza reopened at 2 p.m. today after taking care of the pest problem. A representative from We, The Pizza could not be reached to give further details about the closure.
